A thousand years ago, the Amerindians living in the basin of Lake Valencia, paddled the open sea from the mainland to “Los Roques” in Curiaras, an extraordinary adventure of more than 140 kilometers and 40 hours of continuous navigation.

An enthusiastic team is ready to recreate these voyages, following advice from a group of scientists who follow the project, but they discover with alarm that making the right Curiara, may be the biggest of their difficulties, because this tradition is facing its imminent extinction, when the last "Moyotus", or artisans manufacturers of Curiaras die.
